Very Primitive Rustic Mountain Man Possibles Bag or Haversack

Very Primitive Rustic Mountain Man Possibles Bag or Haversack Heres a very rustic, grungy mountain man bag so that you wont look like a rookie at your next gathering. I used heavy vintage ticking which is doubled up and used a machine to sew together for strength. When finished I stained the cotton with black walnut stain and other stains. The bottom seam is double sewn to last a long time, and left the edges fray for a used well worn look. A very raggedy piece of distressed hide was used for the flap hand sewn to the bag. Added is an elk tine for a closure with a few bone and distressed glass beads. Strap is hand woven on an inkle loom by Annie of http://www.etsy.com/shop/iWeaveSashes. She makes great sashes at good prices. This one is made of linen and cotton and is 1 1/4 wide. Overall length of strap including the part that is leather is 56 and because of the strength and flexibility of the strap can easily be knotted to make it smaller if need be. Strap is hand sewn onto the sides of the bag with heart shaped leather pieces. Bag body measures 11 1/4 deep and 12 wide, great for a grub sack or your primitive hunting needs or BOTH!
